A few words from Pete Lockett
The ever expanding potential of the internet as a resource for learning will prove to be one of the most astonishing things that the turn of the millennium will be remembered for. www.DrumDojo.com is one of the group of sites that are of great significance for drummers and percussionists in many varied areas, from Japanese to Indian to Drum set. The material on the site is informative, well researched and captivating with all those niggling little questions and grey areas addressed…all for FREE!!!! Paul Marshall is the inspiration and energy behind the site and spends many hours each week keeping the site in shape, adding new sections and searching out new tutorials from experts in varied fields. Besides this, Paul spends a great deal of his time playing, teaching and building drums to an expert level. People like this are a great energy and provide an exellent resource for all to learn from, be it the beginner, the pro or the drum builder. Give this site a bit of your time, and if you think you can come up with an interesting and informative article or tutorial, please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Response From PaulPete is one of those enigmatic guys that knows and understands an incredible amount of stuff about an incredible amount of stuff. He is a true multi-percussionist and has immersed himself in indian percussion as a speciality, but plays every percussion instrument from around the globe. Pete is a session musician with a large and impressive track record and he has also recorded under his own name, most recently with Bill Bruford in Pete's inaugral 'Network of Sparks' album entitled 'One' and with Japanese Percussionist and shakuhachi player Joji Hirota under the title 'Taiko to tabla'. I have several Cds of Pete's playing and they are top quality. It is a pleasure to know Pete and a coup to have him demonstrate his support for Drumdojo. In addition he has also unselfishly provided many interesting and informative pieces for the site. His support and endorsement of this site can only add to its already growing reputation for quality information and usefulness for players at all levels. Pete is accessible through his website at www.petelockett.com or by e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
