Having built drums of many shapes and sizes, I'm interested to see how 'Molecules' deal with the 'basketball 'ping" sound that comes from a standing wave in a spheroid shape.

"The drums can be vented or not. We'd tried fiber glass but it didn't work out. The drums pictured are made from a composite material.
They're loud and have great tone!

"...the drums are not cheap. They're really not meant for the consumer market at this time. Because the MOLECULES are hand sculpted they require a huge amount of labor.

"As time goes on we do expect to produce kits that are much more accessible to the general public."



Paul Marshall -

Paul is the owner of Drumdojo and the Dojo Sites, He is responsible for writing and collating a lot of of the material that you see here on drumdojo.

Playing drumset since age 5, Paul has been a drummer on and off for most of his life. He plays every drum he can get his hands on. Paul works as an instrument designer, has designed many instruments for the Stomp orchestra and more recently in Holywood Movies.
