Occupational Hazards

Being a drummer is dangerous!

As a professional, semi-professional or amateur player you run the risk of a number of things which potentially could harm your playing career or have wide-reaching impact in other or all areas of your life.

Please contribute to this section by registering and submitting an article via the user menu.

  • Fatigue (sleeping at the wheel, underperformance in other sessions etc..)
  • Undernutrition (McDonalds ain't that nutritious at 4am)
  • Dehydration
  • Having equipment stolen
  • choosing between the thug with your cymbals & the thug with your snare
  • etc etc.

This section could potentially include items such as drinking & driving or exposure to illicit substances, however I assume that common sense will prevail and that these will not require to be an issue for inclusion
